There are so many great museums in New York City. Among them are the MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. These three institutions are a must-see for any New Yorker. We’ve ranked these museums from best to worst, and we’ve also included the Museum of Skyscrapers.

MoMA

One of the most popular museums in New York City, the Museum of Modern Art is a must-see for art lovers. The museum is located in midtown Manhattan and houses over 150,000 works of art. It also has a library and archives that include over 300,000 books and extensive files on more than 70,000 artists. In addition to visiting the main museum, visitors can also check out its virtual reality tours.

The museum is open seven days a week. On Saturdays, it extends its hours until 7:30 PM. Because of its popularity, the museum can get extremely busy on Saturdays. For this reason, it is best to visit the museum in the middle of the day or late in the afternoon.

The MoMA houses real-life paintings by Van Gogh, Picasso, and Dali. These pieces are beautifully displayed in airy rooms. A must-see is Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. You may also want to check out Andy Warhol’s Campbell Soup Cans. Monet’s Water Lilies and Dali’s work are other highlights. The museum also has a fascinating collection of natural history, including 33 million specimens.

The Brooklyn Museum is another excellent museum in NYC. This museum is similar to MoMA but offers a wide range of exhibits. There is also an exhibit on Virgil Abloh. The Brooklyn Museum is open from 11 am to 6 pm Wednesday through Sunday.

Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum is one of the most popular museums in the city. Similar to the Met and MoMA, it offers an interesting mix of permanent and temporary exhibits. Currently, the museum is showcasing an exhibit about Virgil Abloh. It is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The Brooklyn Museum has an amazing collection of African art. It also hosts programs about African art. It also has a proud history of political activism. It aims to show the connection between art, politics, and social movements. There are also displays about student protests, radio activism, and how solidarity is important in movements.

New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world’s largest and most visited museums. It attracts over a million visitors each year. The museum features an amazing array of artwork from the last five centuries. The museum has a renowned costume center and an Egyptian wing.

Brooklyn Museum: Located near Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum is a beautiful, sprawling museum that welcomes people of all ages. Its collection covers everything from ancient Egyptian art to the modern world. It also has an impressive collection of Gothic furniture and Christian Dior designs. The museum also features fun, educational activities for kids and teens.

The New York Transit Museum is another must-see. The museum houses restored buses and subway cars. The museum also has a permanent collection of old subway artifacts. It’s an immersive experience!

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is located on Pier 86, along the Hudson River on the west side of Manhattan. The museum features several decommissioned warships and dozens of historic aircraft. It also offers an educational center and exciting programming.

The museum’s rotating exhibits are diverse, and its permanent collection is impressive. Its star attraction is the USS Intrepid, a decommissioned aircraft carrier that served in World War II and the Vietnam War. The museum also features over 20 unique airplanes on its historic flight deck.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum has several hands-on exhibits for children. They can climb into cockpits, pose like pilots, explore submarines, and even fold up like pretzels to fit into a space capsule.

The Museum of Modern Art is another favorite. The museum features over 150,000 works of art. Visitors can see famous paintings and other works by famous artists. The museum is also a great place to see some of the city’s waterfront views. In addition to the MoMA, there is the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, which is located on an aircraft carrier.

The Museum of History is another museum worth checking out. It features almost 200,000 items on display at any given time, and it’s fun to explore the different themes. For instance, there is a section on the American Revolution, the history of skyscrapers, and even prohibition. It also features quirky artwork by the Puppets of New York.
